Job summary

The Ned City of London invites applications for Head Host, delivering exceptional hospitality across our 10 restaurants. You will lead a hosts team, greet members and guests, and coordinate with bar, floor and management to craft memorable experiences.

As a junior member of the leadership team, you’ll coach colleagues, model outstanding service, and maintain a calm, positive environment even under pressure. The Ned aims to be the best place to work.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of hosts to welcome and settle members and guests, setting the tone for the visit.
• Handle guest requests and queries regarding reservations.
• Collaborate with bar, floor, and management teams to inform guests’ visits and deliver outstanding experiences.
• Build rapport with regular guests and learn their preferences for future visits.
• As a junior member of the leadership team, coach and provide feedback to ensure high hospitality standards.

Who we are…

The Ned and Ned’s Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants for like-minded individuals to meet, work and have a good time.

The Ned launched in 2017 in the heart of the City, in the former Midland Bank headquarters. The Ned City of London houses Ned’s Club - a private members’ space, gym and rooftop - alongside a public spa, a whole floor of event spaces, ten restaurants and bars and 248 hotel bedrooms.

Reporting into the Senior Reception Manager and as a key part of our restaurant operations team you will:

• Lead a team of hosts to welcome and settle our members and guests, setting the tone for the rest of the visit
• Handle guest requests and queries regarding their reservations
• Collaborate with our bar, floor, and management teams, providing them with information about the guests visit so they can deliver the amazing experiences The Ned is known for
• Build rapport with regular guests over time, learning their preferences and what makes for an amazing experience – storing this information on our bookings system
• As a junior member of the leadership team, you will be a guardian of outstanding hospitality within your team, modelling behaviours and providing coaching and feedback where needed
