Job summary

The Ned is seeking a Head Host to lead a team of hosts across our venues in the City of London. You will welcome members and guests, settle reservations, and coordinate with bar, floor and management teams to deliver the renow ned experience.

As a junior member of the leadership team you will coach staff, build rapport with regular guests, store preferences in the bookings system and maintain the highest standards of hospitality even in high-pressure moments.

The Ned and Ned’s Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants for like-minded individuals to meet, work and have a good time.

The Ned launched in 2017 in the heart of the City, in the former Midland Bank headquarters. The Ned City of London houses Ned’s Club - a private members’ space, gym and rooftop - alongside a public spa, a whole floor of event spaces, ten restaurants and bars and 248 hotel bedrooms.

Reporting into the Senior Reception Manager and as a key part of our restaurant operations team you will:

• Lead a team of hosts to welcome and settle our members and guests, setting the tone for the rest of the visit
• Handle guest requests and queries regarding their reservations
• Collaborate with our bar, floor, and management teams, providing them with information about the guests visit so they can deliver the amazing experiences The Ned is known for
• Build rapport with regular guests over time, learning their preferences and what makes for an amazing experience – storing this information on our bookings system
• As a junior member of the leadership team, you will be a guardian of outstanding hospitality within your team, modelling behaviours and providing coaching and feedback where needed

• This can be a high-pressure role, so a calm demeanour and ability to defuse situations and turn them into a positive is extremely valuable

• Estimated yearly pay of £41,180 - £19.80 per hour including service
