Job summary

Professional Security is looking for an experienced Head Door Supervisor to lead the venue security team in Cheltenham. You will oversee door supervision, ensure professionalism, and act as the key liaison between management and staff.

We welcome Door Supervisors seeking progression within a national provider. The role requires leadership, a valid SIA Licence, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends across venues.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence is required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in hospitality security or door supervision.
• Experience leading security teams.
• Full UK driving licence and access to transport.
• Ability to pass BS7858 screening and vetting.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Willing to work weekends, evenings and late nights.
• Ability to provide a full 5-year employment and address history.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Door Supervisor teams during venue operations.
• Ensure high standards of professionalism, appearance and conduct.
• Manage entry and exit points safely and effectively.
• Conduct ID checks, searches and admissions control.
• Monitor venue capacity, customer behaviour and risks.

• Respond to incidents and challenging situations.
• Complete accurate incident reports and venue documentation.

The Role

As a Head Door Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading venue security teams, maintaining high operational standards and acting as the key point of contact between venue management and frontline security staff.

You will set the standard for professionalism, customer service and safety while ensuring your team delivers an exceptional service every shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support Door Supervisor teams during venue operations

• Monitor venue capacity, customer behaviour and emerging risks
• Support effective crowd management and customer engagement

• Respond confidently to incidents, conflict and challenging situations
• Complete accurate incident reports and venue documentation
• Ensure licensing conditions, venue policies and company procedures are followed
• Provide leadership, guidance and mentoring to Door Supervisors on shift

Requirements

• Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence
• Minimum 2 years’ experience within hospitality security or door supervision
• Previous experience leading or supervising security teams
• Full UK Driving Licence and access to transport
• Ability to pass BS7858 screening and vetting
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Professional appearance and strong leadership qualities
• Ability to work weekends, evenings and late-night shifts
• Ability to provide a full 5-year employment and address history
