Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to support the Community Sport & Wellbeing Team at Chelmsford City Council with the ongoing With you in Mind project held at the South Woodham Ferrers leisure Centre.

Responsibilities
  • Act as head coach to clients referred to the centre as part of their ongoing mental health support.
  • Deliver class sessions and work directly with a wide range of individuals, both internally and in the community.
  • Provide empathetic, supportive, organised and flexible service to clients.
  • Maintain good communication and interpersonal skills.
Required experience & qualifications
  • Keen interest in sport and class delivery.
  • Experience working and supporting adults with mental health and wellbeing.
  • Knowledge and prior working experience with people who suffer with mental health.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Hours and location

The post holder will be required to work 2 hours per week on Sundays from 9.30am to 11.30am. You may be required to work in other locations and there may be other opportunities as part of the project subject to further funding.
