Job summary

Care UK is seeking a Head Chef to lead the kitchen in a fast-paced environment, focused on fresh and seasonal produce and resident meals. You will drive menu design and ensure high standards across all kitchen operations.

You will develop the team, manage stock and food costs, and ensure Food Safety and Health & Safety compliance while training and mentoring staff to maximise their potential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment with fresh and seasonal produce.
• Proven ability to lead a kitchen team and develop staff.
• Strong focus on nutrition, resident dietary requirements, and menu planning.

Responsibilities

• Leading the team in the smooth running of the kitchen operation.
• Develop nutritious and diet sensitive meals for residents and their requirements.
• Menu design and planning.
• Managing stock control and adhering to food cost guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with both Food Safety and Health and Safety in the kitchen.
• Training, supervising, and developing a team to help them make the most of their potential.
