Job summary

Edgbaston Park Hotel and Conference Centre is seeking a talented Head Chef to lead our Kitchen team, shaping the kitchen function and driving excellence across six sites and major conference/banqueting operations.

You will oversee menu development, stock control, allergen compliance, and health & safety while coaching staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences. A senior chef background in hotel or banqueting is essential.

Qualifications

• Substantial senior chef operational experience in hotel or conference and banqueting.
• Proven ability to lead a multi-site kitchen operation.
• Strong knowledge of allergen compliance and food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate a clear kitchen strategy linked to KPIs.
• Coach and develop kitchen team across multiple sites.
• Forecast revenues and manage costs, including GP targets.
• Oversee stock control and wastage reduction.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and guest-focused service.
• Lead menu development balancing GP targets with guest expectations.
