Cambridge Belfry Hotel & Spa, part of The QHotels Collection, is seeking a Head Chef to lead from the front in a busy hotel kitchen and oversee all pass‑throughs to ensure top quality and presentation. You will manage a high-volume operation, drive standards, and contribute to exceptional guest experiences.

Experience in conference, banqueting and events catering is valuable, with strong people leadership and a passion for quality.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Head Chef.
• Experience in hotel or busy, high-volume operation.
• Conference, banqueting and events catering experience would be a real advantage.
• A passion for quality, standards and attention to detail.
• Strong people management and leadership skills.
• A solid understanding of GP, stock control, costs and waste management.
• The ability to stay calm, organised and hands-on when the pressure is on.

Responsibilities

• This is a hands-on leadership role, leading from the front and setting the standard for your team.
• You’ll balance your passion for great food with strong organisation, making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes, and every detail is spot on.
• You’ll take ownership of everything leaving the kitchen pass, ensuring its consistently high quality, beautifully presented and delivered to specification — because great food is at the heart of a great guest experience.
