Job summary

PPM Recruitment is looking for 10 experienced Head Chefs to join a busy catering operation in Stafford. You will lead the kitchen team, maintain high food standards and ensure smooth day-to-day running of a professional kitchen.

This is a 6 months contract with a view to extension, working Monday to Friday from 6.30am to 3pm. You will oversee stock management, food ordering, portion control and strict compliance with food hygiene and health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Head Chef or in a senior chef role.
• Strong leadership and kitchen management skills.
• Excellent knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy catering environment.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• A reliable, professional and flexible approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily running of the kitchen, ensuring food is prepared and served to a high standard.
• Lead, supervise and motivate kitchen staff.
• Prepare and oversee the preparation of meals, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation.
• Manage stock levels, food ordering and portion control.
• Monitor food costs and minimise waste.
• Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health and safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen environment.
• Ensure meals are prepared and served within required timeframes.
• Support the training and development of kitchen team members.
• Follow all site procedures and catering standards.
