Job summary

PPM Recruitment is recruiting for a Head Chef position in Stafford. This role requires strong kitchen leadership to oversee daily operations, manage a team, and maintain high food standards.

The contract is 6 months with a view to extension. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 6:30am to 3pm, with pay up to £20.17 per hour including holiday pay.

X10 Head Chef - Stafford (ST17 4JX)

Pay Rate: up to £20.17p/h inc. hol. pay

PPM Recruitment is currently recruiting for 10 experienced Head Chefs to join a busy catering operation in Stafford.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced chefs with strong kitchen management skills who can lead a team, maintain high food standards and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of a professional kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily running of the kitchen, ensuring food is prepared and served to a high standard.
• Lead, supervise and motivate kitchen staff.
• Prepare and oversee the preparation of meals, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation.
• Manage stock levels, food ordering and portion control.
• Monitor food costs and minimise waste.
• Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health and safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen environment.
• Ensure meals are prepared and served within required timeframes.
• Support the training and development of kitchen team members.
• Follow all site procedures and catering standards.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Head Chef or in a senior chef position.
