Job summary

Las Iguanas is looking for a hands‑on Head Chef to lead a busy kitchen, setting the standard across quality, safety and teamwork. You’ll inspire and train a talented crew, deliver consistent, high‑energy services, and manage costs, labour and stock while keeping the kitchen lively and collaborative.

You’ll work closely with the General Manager to drive restaurant success, build a kitchen culture that values individuality and teamwork, and deliver exceptional guest experiences every day.

Qualifications

• Experience as Head Chef in a busy, high‑volume kitchen.
• Strong leadership and ability to train and develop chefs.
• Committed to maintaining quality, safety and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the kitchen and lead the team.
• Ensure dishes are cooked to perfection and guest experience is outstanding.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
• Develop and motivate the kitchen team and nurture talent.
• Analyze profitability and make sound financial decisions to drive efficiency.
