Job summary

Foley Grange Care Home in Kidderminster is seeking a Head Chef to take full ownership of the kitchen, delivering nutritious and enjoyable meals while leading the team to maintain high standards.

You will drive all kitchen operations from menu planning and preparation to stock control, compliance and team performance, ensuring meals meet dietary needs and safety requirements with a focus on efficiency and cost control.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 706/1/706/2 or equivalent, or working towards.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Proven experience leading or managing a kitchen.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills.
• Good understanding of dietary requirements and food safety.
• Proactive, reliable and quality focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen operations including menu planning, food prep and stock control.
• Ensure dietary needs are met while maintaining high safety and nutrition standards.
• Manage budgets, ordering and waste to optimise costs.
• Develop and mentor the kitchen team to maintain a high performing environment.
