Job summary

British Garden Centres is seeking a Head Chef to lead our catering team in Gosforth. The role is a full-time, permanent position (40 hours per week, including weekends) with a focus on high-quality, nutritious meals and strong kitchen leadership.

You will manage kitchen operations, develop menus, oversee food ordering and stock control, and train a motivated team to deliver a first-class dining experience. Experience in a busy kitchen and HACCP knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy kitchen.
• Level 3 basic food hygiene is an advantage.
• Knowledge of HACCP processes.
• Ability to coach and develop a team.

Responsibilities

• Management duties in the kitchen and operations.
• Coaching and developing the kitchen team.
• Pushing sales and maintaining standards.
• Taking deliveries and stock control.
• Food preparation and presenting specials.
