Job summary

British Garden Centres is seeking passionate part-time chefs for our Restaurant in Carr Gate. You will support the Head Chef, lead service, and ensure high-quality dishes from prep to pass. The role requires fast, accurate cooking with attention to hygiene and stock control.

Experience in busy kitchens and carvery is preferred. You should be flexible with weekends and overtime, and driving is desirable to meet shifts across sites within a growing family business.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a busy kitchen.
• Experience with carvery is an advantage.
• Knowledge of HACCP processes and food safety.
• Able to manage multiple orders and maintain prep flow.
• Good time management under pressure.
• Level 2 basic food hygiene is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef in kitchen management and service.
• Lead service to ensure top-quality dishes leave the pass.
• Maintain hygiene, safety and stock control.
• Take deliveries and assist with food preparation.
• Produce specials and present meals quickly to a high standard.

British Garden Centre are looking for Passionate Chefs to join our team at our Restaurant. If you would like to be a part of this. we are looking for skilled Chefs to prepare delicious meals according to the menu. You will cook dishes that will delight our customers with their taste and timely delivery.

An excellent Chefs must be able to follow instructions in cooking and delivering well-prepared meals. They must be deft in moving around the kitchen and apt in multi-tasking. Experience in using various ingredients and cooking techniques is also important. Flexible with weekends and able to do over time. Need to drive.

The goal is to help preserve and enhance our reputation so we can expand our clientele.
