Job summary

Saputo Inc. is seeking an ambitious Head Chef for its visitor centre in Hawes, Yorkshire Dales. You will lead a small, skilled kitchen team, create menus featuring local Yorkshire produce, and ensure quality, cost control and timely service. This hands-on role requires passion, creativity and a commitment to high standards.

Working 5 days per week with every other weekend off, you’ll be part of Saputo’s award-winning visitor experience and support our local premium cheese and dairy offerings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience at Head Chef level in fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Passion for locally sourced seasonal ingredients.
• Excellent menu costing and budget management.
• Committed to HACCP and health & safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee smooth kitchen operations and staff performance.
• Develop menus and deliver agreed margins and budgets.
• Lead day-to-day running of the kitchen and ensure high standards.
• Recruit, induct and develop kitchen team; provide training.
• Monitor portion control, food quality and health & safety.
