Job summary

HC-One is seeking a Head Chef to lead a kitchen in our care home, delivering nutritious meals while prioritising residents’ wellbeing and individual dietary needs. You will inspire the kitchen team, manage stock, budgets and orders, and ensure compliance with HACCP and food safety standards in a warm, welcoming environment.

You’ll provide strong leadership, plan ahead, be organised, and deliver excellent service every day.

Qualifications

• S/NVQ2 in Catering & Hospitality or Professional Cookery.
• A minimum Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate.
• A good understanding of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP).

Responsibilities

• Oversee kitchen operations, stock, budgets and orders to ensure efficient service.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards such as HACCP and regulatory requirements.
• Deliver high-quality, nutritious meals tailored to residents' dietary needs and preferences.

Education
