Job summary

The Three Horseshoes in Spellbrook, a beautiful thatched country pub with centuries of history, is looking for a Head Chef to take ownership of the kitchen and lead a talented team.

You’ll deliver great pub food, coach and develop your team, manage stock and costs, and work closely with the General Manager to drive the pub's success. This role sits within the Greene King family, offering training, development and a strong support network.

What You'll Be Doing

• You’ll take the lead in our kitchen, making sure every service runs smoothly and every dish leaves the kitchen to the standard our customers expect.
• You’ll be responsible for leading, coaching and developing your kitchen team, creating a positive environment where people can learn, grow and perform at their best.
• You’ll take ownership of food quality, kitchen standards, stock control and costs, while making sure we consistently deliver great pub food.
• You’ll work closely with the General Manager and wider pub team, bringing ideas to the table and helping drive the overall success of the business.
• And when things get busy, you’ll be the calm, confident leader your team can rely on.

We’re looking for an experienced Chef who is ready to take ownership of a kitchen and make their mark.

You’ll have experience leading a kitchen team and be confident running a busy service. You’ll care about quality and consistency, have a good understanding of kitchen costs and standards, and know how to get the best from the people around you.
