Job summary

The Corn Mill in Llangollen, part of Brunning & Price Limited, is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary team and drive food quality, menu development, and high-volume kitchen operations.

As Head Chef you will manage stock, GP and labour controls, while delivering creative seasonal menus. Join a supportive team within a family of pubs that values sustainability, staff development, and exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience as head chef, chef manager, kitchen manager or senior sous chef in a busy, premium fresh food environment.
• Strong leadership with ability to nurture a team and manage stock, GP and labour controls.

The Corm Mill is a beautiful pub, as you walk through the door you aregreeted bythe water wheel turning slowly behind the bar. The decks outside are built directly over the mill race and the rapids, and on the opposite bank of the river, steam trains arrive and leave from the restored station.

Mountains and hills rise all around Llangollen which is a seriously active place for a small community - in July there is the International Eisteddfod, there are also music festivals, hot air balloon festivals and jazz festivals!

About you...

Our kitchens are dynamic, fast paced, and high volume so you will have experience of being a head chef, chef manager, kitchen manager or senior sous chef in a busy, premium fresh food environment. You will be responsible for the food culture within your pub, working closely with the pub manager to drive the business forward, helping to formulate seasonal menus with our Executive Chefs. We are looking for a confident leader who will nurture their team and create an inclusive and supportive environment. You’ll also need excellent business acumen to manage a well-run kitchen, keeping on top of your stock, GPs and labour controls.
