About The Role

In your role as a Head Chef at HC One, you’ll value one thing above all: kindness. It influences every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. As a Head Chef, you will manage the kitchen team to prepare and serve nutritious, healthy meals that Residents will enjoy. You’ll offer a variety of choices, considering cultural preferences and dietary needs. Whether managing food stock, optimizing your budget, or liaising with support teams on nutrition standards, Resident wellbeing remains your top priority.

HC-One seeks a Head Chef with an S/NVQ2 in Catering & Hospitality or Professional Cookery, a Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate, and knowledge of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points. Beyond qualifications, we value your positive energy, ability to connect with people, organizational skills, and attention to detail in following recipes. When communicating with Residents or colleagues, kindness and consideration are essential.

Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know how to respond. All staff must attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and seek advice and report concerns appropriately, including escalation if necessary.
