Job summary

Rosewood London’s Scarfes Bar seeks a Head Bartender to craft premium beverages and lead the bar team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. You will drive service standards on the floor, mentor staff, and uphold Rosewood’s renowned quality in a high-volume, luxury setting.

You will manage bar operations, ensure SOP compliance, and contribute to guest satisfaction through skill, creativity, and professional leadership. This role offers the chance to shape a premier bar in central London.

Qualifications

• Experience in luxury or high-volume bar environments.
• Proven leadership experience delivering guest experiences.
• Excellent communication and delegation skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver all bar-related aspects of the guest experience in line with Rosewood standards and ensure the team consistently adheres to these standards.
• Ensure beverage preparation, bar setup, and close-down procedures follow SOPs.
• Communicate effectively, prioritize, and delegate tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Oversee bar operation and cleanliness, including stock ordering and inventory management.
• Manage cash handling and account transactions accurately and professionally.
• Ensure a high-quality drinks offering is consistently available and delivered by a trained team.
• Lead, coach, and develop Barbacks, Bartenders, and Assistant Bartenders to support growth.

Inspired by the character and charm of a traditional drawing room, Scarfes Bar combines creative cocktails, live entertainment, and world-class hospitality in a truly unique setting. Reporting to the Outlet Manager, you will work alongside a passionate team dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences every day.

YOUR ROLE

As a Head Bartender, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional bar experiences through the creation of high-quality beverages, leading by example on the floor, and guiding the bar team to consistently achieve Rosewood's renowned service standards. You will play a key role in the smooth day-to-day operation of the bar, ensuring excellence in service, product quality, team development, and guest satisfaction.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE

• Deliver all bar-related aspects of the guest experience in line with Rosewood standards and ensure the team consistently adheres to these standards.
• Ensure all beverage preparation, bar set-up, and close-down procedures are completed in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Manage cash handling and account transactions accurately and professionally.
• Ensure a high-quality drinks offering is consistently available and delivered by a knowledgeable and well-trained team.
• Lead, coach, and develop Barbacks, Bartenders, and Assistant Bartenders to support their growth and enhance the overall guest experience.
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve service delivery and exceed guest expectations.
