Job summary

Rosewood Hotel Group’s The Chancery Rosewood in Mayfair seeks a Flexible Bar Back to join the bar team. You’ll support bartenders, maintain stock, and help deliver warm, intuitive hospitality in a luxury setting.

You will read the room, anticipate guest needs, and contribute to seamless service across the bar and dining spaces, working closely with floor teams and colleagues to maintain high standards of guest experience.

Qualifications

• Hospitality experience in luxury settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Keep the bar fully stocked and prepared for service.
• Anticipate the needs of the bartending team and replenish supplies proactively.
• Maintain an immaculate bar environment ensuring hygiene and safety standards.
• Collect, clean and polish glassware and maintain guest areas presentable.
• Assist in preparing juices, syrups and garnishes to quality standards.
• Work closely with bartenders and floor teams to support seamless service.

At Eagle Bar, you’ll be part of the bar team at The Chancery Rosewood, our luxury Mayfair hotel housed in the former U.S. Embassy. With 144 suites and a collection of distinctive dining and bar spaces, The Chancery Rosewood is a place where experiences are curated, conversations flow, and every detail matters.

Working closely with our bartenders and floor teams, you’ll help create a seamless service environment where genuine connection and attention to detail sit at the heart of every guest experience.

YOUR ROLE

As a Flexible Bar Back, you’ll be the engine behind the bar, helping every moment of service run seamlessly. You’ll anticipate the needs of the bartending team, keep the bar prepared and organised, and support the delivery of warm, intuitive hospitality. This is more than a support role. It’s an opportunity to bring Relationship Hospitality to life by reading the room, anticipating needs and helping create moments of genuine connection.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE

• Keep the bar fully stocked, organised and prepared for service, maintaining a smooth flow of glassware, garnishes, ice and beverages.
• Anticipate the needs of the bartending team and proactively replenish supplies before they impact service.
• Maintain an immaculate bar environment, consistently upholding hygiene, health and safety standards.
• Collect, clean and polish glassware efficiently while keeping guest areas presentable and clutter-free.
• Support preparation of juices, syrups and garnishes, ensuring ingredients meet quality and presentation standards.
• Work closely with bartenders and floor teams, communicating clearly to support a seamless and coordinated service.
