Job summary

Trading Post Coffee Roasters is seeking a dedicated Head Barista in Eastbourne to lead the coffee program with passion and precision. You will guide the team to deliver excellent quality across all drinks, mentor Baristas, and uphold the highest hospitality standards.

You will play a pivotal role in maintaining consistency and showcasing technical skill in every service. You will coach others, maintain equipment, and collaborate with management to continuously improve coffee quality and guest

Qualifications

• Strong barista experience in a quality coffee environment.
• Passion for specialty coffee and sharing knowledge with others.
• Enjoy coaching and developing people.
• Lead by example and remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the coffee station and set the standard for coffee quality.
• Dial in grinders and monitor espresso extraction for consistency.
• Coach, train and support Baristas to develop skills and confidence.
• Monitor speed of service while maintaining quality.
• Prepare outstanding coffee and latte art.
• Share knowledge with guests and colleagues about brewing methods and products.
• Ensure equipment is cleaned and maintained to high standards.
• Identify training opportunities with management to improve standards.
• Support the wider team during busy services with positivity and leadership.
