COREcruitment Ltd. in London seeks an experienced Head Barista to take ownership of the coffee operation in a premium, quality-focused environment.

This hands-on role requires expert knowledge of specialty coffee, top espresso technique, latte art, and staff development. You will lead the bar team, calibrate grinders, refine brew methods (V60 and more), manage stock and maintain the highest service standards.

Qualifikationen

• Strong practical knowledge of specialty coffee and espresso techniques.
• Experience training or coaching other baristas.
• Good understanding of stock control, ordering and day-to-day bar operations.

Aufgaben

• Lead the bar team during service and set the standard for coffee quality.
• Dial in espresso and manage grinder calibration and recipes throughout the day.
• Ensure consistency across espresso, milk-based drinks and filter coffee.
• Prepare and oversee V60 and other manual brewing methods.
• Understand extraction and adjust grind, dose, yield, temperature and brew time when required.
• Train and support baristas to improve their technical coffee skills.
• Maintain high standards of latte art and milk preparation.
• Carry out regular coffee quality checks throughout service.
• Manage coffee, bar and retail stock, including ordering and monitoring usage.
• Keep wastage under control and ensure stock levels are well managed.
• Maintain an exceptionally clean, organised and well-presented coffee station.
• Ensure coffee equipment is correctly cared for and maintained.
• Support opening and closing routines and ensure the bar is fully prepared for service.
• Work with management on new drinks, seasonal menus and development of the coffee programme.
• Lead by example during busy services and help create a professional, positive team environment.
