Job summary

Slicker Recycling Ltd is seeking a Site Chemist to support daily operations of the hazardous waste transfer facility, ensuring safe handling, testing and compliance with ISO management systems. The role prioritises health, safety and environmental compliance and continuous productivity improvements.

The successful candidate will conduct sample testing, calibrate equipment, maintain lab safety and collaborate with Operations, Compliance, Technical and Commercial teams across the business.

Qualifications

• Qualified to degree or HNC level in Chemistry or an associated subject.
• Computer literate – confident user of MS Office package
• Strong numerical, written, and verbal presentation and communication skills
• Self-motivated, able to prioritise and work within a time critical processing environment.

Responsibilities

• Sampling of vehicles and storage tanks.
• General quality analysis, including testing of incoming/outgoing materials and recording results.
• Compliance with safety, environmental, and QA procedures; maintain documentation.
• Operations: reception, testing, storage, treatment and dispatch of wastes; forklift operation.
