Job summary

Sweco is seeking a Hazard Study Facilitator to join the design team across Leeds, Edinburgh, Glasgow or Birmingham. Flexible/Hybrid working with three days in the office and options for part-time applications are offered.

You will lead hazard studies (HAZID, SWIFT, HazOp, ALMs), develop tools and templates, and mentor engineers while delivering water design projects for Water Companies and contractors.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Chartered status with IMechE or IChemE (or equivalent).
• Extensive knowledge of mechanical design for the water industry.
• Experience delivering water designs and specifications for Water Companies, Contractors.
• Understanding environmental implications, sustainable water/wastewater processes, and health & safety legislation.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hazard studies (HAZID, SWIFT, HazOp, ALMs) to identify hazards and assess risks.
• Develop and maintain hazard study tools, templates and guidance.
• Ensure delivery of hazard studies within scope, schedule and budget.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders and suppliers.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to colleagues.
