Job summary

Sweco in Glasgow is recruiting a Graduate Modeller to support flood risk and urban drainage projects within the Water & Asset Management division. You will build hydraulic models, analyse outcomes, and contribute to planning and drainage strategies under guidance from mentors.

The role offers a two-year blended learning programme, with hybrid working, a permanent position, and opportunities to pursue professional accreditation while developing technical and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant field or equivalent
• Less than 12 months of relevant work experience
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and digital tools
• Driven, proactive and solution-oriented
• UK work entitlement (permanent role)

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of flood risk and urban drainage projects
• Build and utilise hydraulic models using Infoworks ICM or TUFLOW
• Analyse performance under current and future conditions
• Identify sustainable options to improve wastewater networks
• Use GIS to analyse data and map flood extents
• Contribute to planning applications and drainage strategies
• Prepare technical reports and drawings
