Job summary

Advance TRS is seeking a proactive Health & Safety professional to coordinate and oversee HAVS and COSHH requirements across construction projects. You will provide practical H&S support to on-site teams, subcontractors, and the wider project team.

The role involves maintaining COSHH registers, conducting risk assessments, inductions, toolbox talks and safety training, as well as leading site inspections, audits and incident investigations.

Qualifications

• Proven H&S experience in construction/civil engineering.
• COSHH and HAVS management experience.
• Good knowledge of UK H&S legislation and CDM 2015.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate COSHH assessments, registers and control measures.
• Coordinate HAVS risk assessments, exposure monitoring and health surveillance.
• Support selection of lower-vibration tools and safer methods.
• Arrange face-fit testing and ensure emergency equipment is available.
• Provide practical Health & Safety advice to project teams and subcontractors.
• Deliver inductions, toolbox talks and safety training.
• Undertake site inspections, audits and compliance checks with closed-out actions.
• Support accident, incident and near-miss investigations.
• Maintain Health & Safety records and performance data.
• Promote a positive H&S culture across workforce and supply chain.
• Support wider H&S team with project delivery.
