Job summary

Victim Support in Cardiff is hiring a Hate Crime Caseworker to join the Wales team. The role offers hybrid working and a 37.5-hour week to provide tailored, one-to-one support to victims of hate crime.

You will work with a team of staff and volunteers to coordinate referral networks, ensuring access to appropriate services and improvements in responses to victims. The role emphasizes resilience, safeguarding awareness, and a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in safeguarding issues and relevant legislation.
• Experience in dealing with members of the public in a support role.
• Ability to manage a demanding workload and meet deadlines.
• Able to work well in a team and independently in various locations.

Responsibilities

• Directly support victims affected by hate crime with tailored one-to-one support.
• Assist victims to navigate the criminal justice system and access additional support.
• Develop networks of referral agencies and report on partnerships to improve services.
• Work with staff and volunteers to deliver bespoke services to vulnerable victims.
