Job summary

The Assistant Hatchery Manager in Wrexham is a hands-on leadership role within a modern hatchery operation. You will work alongside the Hatchery Manager to ensure efficient, safe, and compliant daily running, maintaining chick quality and animal welfare.

The role requires supervisory experience in poultry or agricultural production, strong organisational and communication skills, and basic IT literacy. UK work rights and an NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) are essential.

Qualifications

• Supervisory, team leadership experience within production or agricultural settings.
• NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) relevant to hatchery/production roles.
• Proficient in Excel and data entry/record management.

Responsibilities

• Support hatchery operations across egg intake, incubation, hatching and chick handling.
• Lead, supervise and train hatchery staff to meet procedures and standards.
• Assist with workforce planning, task allocation and performance monitoring.
