Job summary

Promatchconsultancy is seeking an experienced aquaculture professional to join a leading Scottish salmon producer in North West Sutherland as Hatchery Supervisor or Assistant Manager. You will work with the Hatchery Manager to coordinate daily hatchery operations, mentor staff and ensure the highest standards of welfare and husbandry.

Key duties include feeding, grading, health monitoring, records, and site hygiene, with on-call and rotational duties.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hatchery or similar fish husbandry role.
• Strong understanding of fish welfare and husbandry practices.
• Ability to support, motivate and develop team members.
• Good organisational skills and a proactive approach.

Are you ready for the next step in your aquaculture career? A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced aquaculture professional to join a leading, independent Scottish salmon producer in North West Sutherland as a Hatchery Supervisor or Assistant Manager.

Working closely with the Hatchery Manager, you'll take a leading role in daily hatchery operations, helping coordinate workloads, support and train team members and ensure the highest standards of fish welfare and husbandry.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in a hatchery or similar fish husbandry role
• Strong understanding of fish welfare and husbandry practices
• Ability to support, motivate and develop team members
• Good organisational skills and a proactive approachi>
• Full driving licence and own transport (essential)

Salary & Benefits

• Salary negotiable depending on experience
• Overtime rates of x1.5 Mon to Fri and x1.75 Sat and Sun
• On-call payments
