Job summary

Avara Foods Limited is hiring a Hatchery Operative in Leominster. No experience is required as full training is provided, and you will join the hatchery team to support daily duties essential to the business.

You’ll work Monday to Saturday 08:00-18:00 on a 6 week rotation, with an hourly rate of £13.25 plus a small shift allowance. Roles include assisting egg movement, handling 10kg trays, maintaining hygiene, and upholding biosecurity and safety standards.

Qualifications

• A good level of English and basic numeracy.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and a flexible attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the movement of eggs from storage to incubating machines and then to hatching machines.
• Move 10kg trays of eggs into egg trolleys.
• Check eggs for faults.
• Move eggs between machines efficiently.
• Clean equipment to high standards.
• Observe bio security procedures.
• Monitor bird welfare and health and safety on site.
