Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd. is seeking an experienced Interconnects Cable / Harness Design Engineer in Bristol. This hybrid role on a 12-month contract involves designing cable assemblies and harnesses for advanced products, supporting development activities and providing technical guidance across engineering teams.

You will work within a specialist Electronics Engineering team, influence design standards, drive process improvements and help implement industry-leading tools and methodologies.

Qualifications

• Cable and harness design experience required.
• Experience with electrical interconnect design processes and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Interpret subsystem and system-level requirements to develop interconnect solutions.
• Create electrical schematics and cable design definitions using E3.
• Support and troubleshoot issues for users across the engineering community.
• Integrate and utilise Zuken E3 throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Investigate design issues, identify root causes and develop solutions.
• Collaborate with project teams, manufacturing and other engineering disciplines.
• Support product verification, environmental testing and functional trials.
• Contribute to process development and continuous improvement of E3 workflows.

Interconnects Cable / Harness Design Engineer to join a specialist Electronic Engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on sophisticated engineering programmes, contributing to the design and development of critical cable and harness systems used within highly advanced products.

The Opportunity

As an Interconnects Cable / Harness Design Engineer, you will join a team recognised as the organisation's subject matter experts in connectivity and interconnect solutions. You will be responsible for designing cable assemblies and harnesses, supporting product development activities, and providing technical expertise across the wider business.

Working within a collaborative engineering environment, you'll have the opportunity to influence design standards, drive process improvements and support the implementation of industry-leading engineering tools and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities
