Job summary

Change Grow Live in Liverpool is seeking a Harm Reduction Lead to steer the service's harm reduction offer, ensuring evidence-based approaches inform delivery. You will lead training, collaborate with internal and external partners, and champion safer practices for people who use drugs and alcohol.

The role requires extensive experience in harm reduction, stakeholders engagement, and line management, with a focus on improving health outcomes and service quality across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Significant knowledge of harm reduction and health promotion interventions relating to drug and alcohol use.
• Experience in drug and alcohol treatment delivering harm reduction advice and guidance to colleagues and wider communities.
• In-depth knowledge of needle exchange provision including harm minimization, appropriate equipment and safer injecting techniques.
• Experience developing and delivering bespoke training and awareness raising packages for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to build and maintain networks and effective working relationships with a full range of health professionals, statutory officers, and community/voluntary workers.
• Understanding of current developments and priorities in substance misuse policy at a national and local level.
• Line management experience including coaching and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Lead harm reduction strategies and programmes across the service.
• Coordinate Needle and Syringe Programme provision and training.
• Monitor local drug trends and produce alerts for LDIS.
• Oversee Naloxone provision and training.
• Engage with people who use drugs to shape service delivery.
• Develop resources for IPED users and wider community.
• Lead on training for external partners and staff.
