Morgan Hunt is seeking a Recovery Worker for a drug and alcohol service in Liverpool. You will manage a caseload, provide 1:1 recovery support, and develop personalised recovery plans with individuals aiming to overcome substance misuse.

You will work with healthcare, housing and other services to secure positive outcomes, complete assessments, maintain records and monitor progress, applying harm reduction and relapse prevention strategies in a supportive, non-judgemental way.

Qualifications

• Experience in drug and alcohol recovery essential.
• Strong knowledge of substance misuse, harm reduction and recovery pathways.
• Confident in managing caseloads and delivering recovery-focused interventions.

We are looking for an experienced Recovery Worker to join a drug and alcohol service in Liverpool, supporting individuals to overcome substance misuse challenges and make lasting, positive changes.

Responsibilities of the Recovery Worker include:

• Managing a caseload of individuals accessing drug and alcohol services


• Delivering 1:1 recovery support, harm reduction and relapse prevention interventions


• Developing personalised recovery plans and support individuals towards their goals


• Working alongside healthcare, housing and other support services to achieve positive outcomes


• Completing assessments, maintain case records and monitor progress

Candidates for the role of Recovery Worker will need:

• Previous hands-on experience in a drug and alcohol recovery role is essential


• Strong knowledge of substance misuse, harm reduction and recovery pathways


• Confident managing caseloads and delivering recovery-focused interventions


• A proactive, compassionate and non-judgemental approach
