Job summary

IC Resources is seeking a Hardware Security Research Engineer to join our team at the intersection of hardware, embedded systems, and cybersecurity in the UK. You will research complex electronic and cyber-physical systems, identify vulnerabilities, and develop proof-of-concept solutions to security problems.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related discipline.
• Experience with electronics, embedded systems, or hardware development.
• Hands-on experience debugging hardware and building prototypes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyse hardware and embedded systems.
• Identify hardware and cyber-physical security vulnerabilities.
• Design and build proof-of-concept prototypes and demonstrators.
• Debug hardware using tools such as JTAG, UART, SWD, oscilloscopes, and logic analysers.
• Reverse engineer hardware and firmware where required.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative security solutions.
• Present technical findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
