Job summary

Arm is seeking a hands-on Hardware Security Engineer to secure SoC hardware platforms. You will assess hardware components, analyze security weaknesses, and develop PoCs, collaborating with architecture and silicon teams to enhance security across Arm platforms.

The role involves working with ARM security features, trust anchors, and debug interfaces, with hybrid working patterns and a focus on rigorous technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on security assessments of SoC hardware components and security features, including trust anchors, debug interfaces, and isolation mechanisms.
• Architecture review and RTL analysis for security-relevant behaviour; strong knowledge of modern SoC architectures and hardware isolation.
• Experience reviewing security-relevant specifications and RTL for weaknesses; working with debug interfaces and trust architectures.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly and produce technical reports; capable of independent and collaborative work within a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out hands-on security assessments of SoC hardware components and security features, including trust anchors, debug interfaces, and isolation mechanisms
• Identify and analyse hardware security issues using architecture review, hardware interface analysis, and experimental testing
• Develop proof-of-concept demonstrations illustrating system-level impact of hardware weaknesses
• Apply and grow knowledge of hardware security techniques relevant to silicon security, privilege boundaries, and trust architectures
• Develop and maintain tools and methodologies that support hardware security evaluation and experimentation
• Collaborate with architecture, silicon design, firmware, and platform teams to clearly communicate findings and support mitigations
