Job summary

Wanstor Limited is seeking a Hardware Deployment Engineer to own our hardware build and deployment operations from Hemel Hempstead. You will build, configure and stage IT hardware, ensure quality and proper documentation, and support a junior engineer while driving improvements across stock, assets and fulfilment.

The role is hands-on, with responsibilities for processes, stock management and timely delivery to customers. Join a friendly, proactive team focused on quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT hardware build and deployment activities.
• Knowledge of asset management and stock control processes.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent attention to detail for builds and documentation.
• Proactive customer service and problem solving approach.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure, stage and prepare IT hardware for deployments and service requests.
• Perform quality checks on completed builds to meet customer requirements.
• Coordinate daily hardware build workload and meet deadlines.
• Manage receipt and shipment of customer hardware from Hemel Hempstead office.
• Maintain accurate asset, stock and inventory records.
• Ensure build documentation is up to date and complete.
• Keep the build environment organised and efficient.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with Procurement on availability.
• Provide day-to-day support and coaching to Junior Hardware Deployment Engineer.
• Identify risks to deliveries and escalate to prevent delays.
• Continuously improve build, deployment, stock and fulfilment processes.
• Provide regular updates on workload, stock, procurement and delivery performance.
