Job summary

Fawkes & Reece is seeking a Hands-on Handyperson / Multi-Trader in Thatcham to work on an ongoing contract basis. You will operate under project and site management, handling tasks like metal track installation, metal stud with board finishes, and potential dry lining or carpentry work.

The ideal candidate holds a current CSCS card, owns hand and power tools, and can communicate effectively. Two years in General Building is preferred for success.

Qualifications

• CSCS card is required.
• Minimum 2 years experience in general building.

Responsibilities

• Assist under supervision of Project/Site Manager.
• Install metal track and metal stud with a concrete board finish.
• Possibly dry lining plasterboard and undertake carpentry tasks.
• Check drawings and set out works for completion.
• Return snag sheets daily to show completed work.

The role:

As the Handyperson / Multi-Trader on the project you will be responsible for:

• Working under the supervision and management of the Project Manager, Site Manager.
• Receiving job lists including but not limited to installing metal track, metal stud with a concrete board finish.
• Potentially Dry lining the plasterboard as well as carpentry items
• Checking drawings and setting out works to be completed.
• Handing back snag sheets each day to show works completed.

About you:

• You will need a current and valid CSCS card.
• Own a selection of hand tools and power tools.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

To be successful in your application for this role you will have and be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
