Job summary

Fawkes & Reece Southern in Newbury, England, are seeking a hands-on Handyperson/Multi-Trader for a temporary full-time role starting ASAP. You will work under the Project Manager and Site Manager, carrying out metal track and metal stud installations, plasterboard finishing, and carpentry tasks on site.

The ideal candidate holds a current CSCS card, owns hand and power tools, communicates well, and has 2+ years in general building.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current and valid CSCS card.
• Minimum of 2 years+ experience within the General Building space.
• Own a selection of hand tools and power tools.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install metal track and metal stud with a concrete board finish as listed on job sheets.
• Carry out dry lining and carpentry tasks where required on site.
• Check drawings and set out works to be completed.
• Hand back snag sheets daily to show works completed.

The role:

• Working under the supervision and management of the Project Manager, Site Manager.
• Receiving job lists including but not limited to installing metal track, metal stud with a concrete board finish.
• Potentially Dry lining the plasterboard as well as carpentry items
• Checking drawings and setting out works to be completed.
• Handing back snag sheets each day to show works completed.

About you:

• You will need a current and valid CSCS card.
