Job summary

Tech-People is seeking a handyman for a short-term assignment in Plumstead, London (SE28 0FT). The role runs for 2-3 weeks, starting ASAP, with hours 8:00am-5:00pm and 8.5 hours paid daily. Pay rate is £24.00-£25.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include boxing in pipework, moving materials, installing guards, plasterboard work, and general finishing tasks on site. A valid CSCS card and 5-point PPE are required, along with own hand/power tools and reliable availability.

Qualifications

Handyman Required - Plumstead, London

Location: SE28 0FT, Plumstead, London

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 2-3 weeks

Working Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm (8.5 hours paid)

Duties & Responsibilities

• Boxing in and securing pipework to provide a neat and finished appearance.


• Moving materials and equipment between Unit 2 and Unit 1 in preparation for handover.


• Installing protective guards around structural columns.


• Fixing and securing screws into plasterboard as required.


• Assisting with general handyman and finishing works across the site.


• Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working area.


• Working alongside the site team and following instructions from the Site Manager/Foreman.


• Completing tasks to a high standard with good attention to detail.

Requirements

• Valid CSCS Card.

• Previous experience carrying out general handyman or finishing works on construction sites.
