Job summary

Lloyd Recruitment is seeking a Yard Operative for a busy yard in Crawley. You will deliver outstanding customer service, prepare orders, load and unload vehicles and help with deliveries.

This role is active and outdoors, requires attention to detail and the ability to work safely. Full training and ongoing development are provided, with a supportive team and opportunities to grow in a well-established business.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organisational skills and proactive work approach.
• Confidence with both metric and imperial measurements.
• Forklift experience is a bonus; training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, professional and efficient customer service.
• Assist customers with product enquiries and order collections.
• Pick and prepare customer orders accurately.
• Ensure products are stored safely and presented to a high standard.
• Load and unload customer and supplier vehicles safely.
• Receive deliveries and check goods against delivery documentation.
• Complete paperwork accurately and maintain records.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages to management.
• Keep the yard and storage areas tidy and well organised.
• Follow health and safety procedures and support the team.
