Job summary

Profiles Personnel is looking for a hands-on Workshop Engineer & Driver to join a busy team. The role combines workshop‑based engineering duties with deliveries, collections and occasional on‑site support.

You’ll service, test and prepare climate control and power equipment, carry out PAT testing, load and unload vehicles and help keep the workshop and warehouse orderly. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Good mechanical and practical skills.
• Basic electrical knowledge or willingness to learn.
• Full, clean UK driving licence essential.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, inspecting and maintaining climate control and power equipment.
• Carrying out PAT testing and electrical safety checks.
• Cleaning, preparing and testing equipment for dispatch.
• Investigating faults and assisting with repairs.
• Delivering and collecting equipment from customer sites, with accurate paperwork.
• Loading and unloading vehicles and keeping workshop/warehouse tidy.
• Assisting with stock control and stock takes.
• Carrying out vehicle checks and keeping vehicles in a safe condition.
• Occasionally assisting engineers with on-site installations and project work.
• Adhering to health and safety procedures and representing the business professionally.
