Job summary

OGT in Cambridge is seeking a Kit Assembly and Warehouse Lead to manage a small team of Supply Chain Operators and Warehouse Specialists. This hands-on role requires 50% packing and warehouse duties alongside leading by example to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

You will drive daily tier meetings, coordinate improvements, and oversee stock control, training, and SOP updates while maintaining strict adherence to the Quality Management System.

Qualifications

• More than 12 months’ experience in a manufacturing or operations environment.
• Growth mindset with focus on improvement, simplification, and waste reduction.
• Right-first-time approach with strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Hands-on leadership with a flexible attitude and a role-model approach.
• Solid understanding of quality and regulatory requirements (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, 21 CFR Part 820, dangerous goods).
• Experience in training others and leading by example.

Responsibilities

• Lead the kit assembly and warehouse team to ensure on-time, in-full delivery of products.
• Plan resources up to two weeks ahead based on demand and priorities.
• Conduct daily tier meetings; capture issues and actions.
• Coordinate actions from tier meetings to closure and ensure stock availability.
• Oversee inventory levels and processing of kits for dispatch.
• Investigate root causes of performance variations and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with Quality Management System and report non-conformances promptly.
• Recruit and onboard new team members and provide ongoing training.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kit assembly and warehouse areas.
• Provide regular progress feedback and write/update SOPs and BMRs as required.
