OGT in Cambridge is seeking a Kit Assembly and Warehouse Lead to manage a small team of Supply Chain Operators and Warehouse Operatives. This hands-on role requires performing routine packaging and warehouse work for at least 50% of the time while modelling best practice and ensuring quality and on-time, in-full delivery.

Qualifications

• 12+ months experience in a manufacturing or operations environment.
• Growth mindset with focus on improvement, simplification, and waste reduction.
• Right-first-time approach with strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication and ability to work collaboratively.
• Ability to lead by example as a hands-on team lead with flexible daily responsibilities.
• Understanding of quality and regulatory requirements such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, 21 CFR Part 820, and dangerous goods shipping.
• Experience training others.
• Computer literacy.
• Calm approach for production-critical troubleshooting.

Responsabilités

• Anticipate demand and plan resources up to two weeks ahead.
• Lead the team tier meeting at start and end of day and prioritise actions.
• Coordinate actions from tier meetings to ensure closure.
• Review outstanding work relating to stock shortfalls and customer demand.
• Review finished goods inventory levels and process kits accordingly.
• Liaise with Customer Services to ensure orders are fulfilled and dispatched on time.
• Identify root causes of performance variation and propose improvements.
• Monitor adherence to quality procedures and address non-conformances promptly.
• Model company values with a safety-first approach and drive process improvements.
• Plan onboarding and ongoing training of new starters.
• Oversee cleanliness and organisation of kit assembly and warehouse areas.
• Provide regular progress feedback and update reports.
• Conduct fortnightly one-to-one meetings with team members.
• Write and update SOPs, BMRs, and required documentation.
• Adhere to QMS procedures and report non-compliances via approved procedures.
• Undertake additional compliance training and support development programmes.
