Job summary

University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust in Coventry is seeking a Materials Management Officer to join the Materials Management team on the Coventry site, with occasional cover at Hospital of St Cross. You will monitor stock in storerooms across wards and departments as part of the internal supply chain service.

The role requires the ability to perform in a physically demanding environment, manage stock takes weekly, and use electronic data capture and a computerised ordering

Qualifications

• Written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding role with moving and handling.
• General IT skills and keyboard proficiency.
• Good numeracy and literacy.
• Experience in a store/retail environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Visit wards/departments to check and agree stock levels.
• Order and replenish stock using the computerised ordering system.
• Support Ward/Department staff, including Receipts and Distribution.
• Assist in rolling out Materials Management across wards and departments.
