Job summary

VanRath are working with a well established specialist automotive business in the Ballymena area on the recruitment of a Vehicle Mechanic / Technician for their growing workshop team. The role covers servicing, repair and maintenance, employing a hands-on approach in a busy workshop environment.

You will undertake clutch work, diagnose faults, fit towing equipment and components, and maintain high standards of workmanship with initiative and focus on quality.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic.
• Solid mechanical knowledge and time served in a workshop environment.
• Confidence handling servicing and general repair work without supervision.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, repair and maintenance work to a consistently high standard.
• Carrying out clutch work and general mechanical repairs.
• Fitting towing equipment, accessories and specialist vehicle components.
• Inspecting vehicles and pinpointing mechanical faults.
• Basic diagnostics and fault finding.
• Keeping the workshop running efficiently and standards of workmanship high.
• Working under your own initiative with a close eye on detail.
