Job summary

Elevation Recruitment Group is seeking a hands-on Transactional Finance Supervisor in Sheffield with hybrid working. You will lead a small transactional finance team while remaining actively involved in day-to-day processing and financial control.

You will oversee the full finance cycle, manage cash flow and banking, support audits, and drive improvements across the function, balancing leadership with hands-on involvement to deliver accurate, timely financial information.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar role.
• Strong background in transactional finance with a willingness to stay hands-on.
• Experience managing and developing a team.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Managing and developing a team across purchase ledger and sales ledger
• Overseeing day-to-day transactional finance, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
• Remaining hands-on with processing, queries and escalations when needed
• Managing treasury activities, including cash flow and banking
• Assisting with audit requirements and liaising with external auditors
• Driving process improvements across the finance function
