Job summary

Probe UK is seeking an experienced Technical Lead Engineer to step into a genuine technical leadership role. You will balance design, product development, customer interaction and hands-on engineering, while guiding the technical direction of the business.

The role offers a long-term succession plan, with close collaboration to the Technical Director and progression to lead engineering activities in the future.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical design experience in manufacturing or product development.
• Excellent SolidWorks skills with ability to produce detailed drawings and 3D models.
• Hands-on approach with testing, troubleshooting and production support.

Responsibilities

• Deal with customers, understand requirements and develop practical solutions.
• Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, drawings and documentation.
• Provide hands-on engineering support with production and issue resolution.
• Carry out testing, evaluation and product development activities.
• Support electrical design using SolidWorks Electrical without making it the core focus.
• Take growing ownership of engineering activities and future leadership.
