Job summary

Probe UK is seeking a Senior Electronic Design Engineer to own electronic system design from concept to production. You will develop robust PCBs, write firmware in C++, and integrate with controllers, transducers, and instrumentation.

The role emphasizes high-quality design, mentoring junior staff, and delivering on time within an in-office environment. Eligible candidates should have relevant UK work rights and a strong background in electronics engineering.

Qualifications

• Senior electronic design experience across analogue and digital electronics.
• Schematic capture and PCB layout proficiency.
• Experience with real-time firmware, preferably in C++.
• Knowledge of microcontrollers and common interfaces (I2C, SPI, USB).
• Familiarity with ERP systems and design for manufacturing/testability concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop new robust electronic solutions from concept to production.
• Lead PCB design, firmware development, and integration with third-party controllers.
• Support production and address component obsolescence and testing needs.
• Maintain compliance with safety, EMC, REACH, and RoHS standards.
