Socure is seeking a hands-on Manager, Software Engineering to define direction, raise standards, and deliver measurable product outcomes while coding and designing alongside the team. You will architect scalable backend systems in AWS, lead cross-team technical initiatives, mentor engineers, and ensure high-quality delivery through code reviews, automation, and strong security practices.

This role is 100% remote.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Golang and distributed systems.
• Strong CS fundamentals and architectural skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• 3+ years of hands-on technical leadership.
• Deep knowledge of AWS cloud-native architectures.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Write code and architect scalable backend systems.
• Define engineering standards and guardrails.
• Mentor engineers and hire diverse talent.
• Drive cross-team initiatives and design reviews.
• Own API and microservice design and versioning.
• Improve observability, runbooks, and incident response.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Data Science, and Platform teams.
