Job summary

SR2 | Socially Responsible Recruitment | Certified B Corporation is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Architect. The role is a remote-first contract with ad-hoc onsite in London, offering senior hands-on architecture leadership across identity security, DevSecOps, and platform resilience.

You will guide engineering, infrastructure and security teams, producing architecture artefacts, resolving complex design issues and ensuring secure integration across Entra ID and AWS.

Qualifications

• Strong AWS cloud and security architecture experience.
• Secure, resilient enterprise cloud platform design experience.
• Excellent knowledge of identity and access management including Entra ID.
• Experience with privileged identity management and conditional access policies.
• Terraform IaC and DevSecOps practices in CI/CD pipelines.
• Cloud logging, monitoring and threat detection capabilities.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical decisions.
• Stakeholder management and technical assurance experience.
• SC essential & NPPV3 clearance desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide architecture oversight across an AWS-hosted platform.
• Translate business needs into technical and security requirements.
• Produce designs and supporting documentation.
• Review designs, supplier proposals and notes.
• Lead resolution of architecture and platform-level issues.
• Identify security weaknesses and technical debt.
• Design secure integration between Microsoft Entra ID and AWS.
• Develop access policies and conditional access controls.
• Improve resilience of identity services (Keycloak, OTP).
• Embed security controls into Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
• Design security monitoring with AWS CloudWatch, Defender for Cloud.
• Support threat detection via centralized logging and alerts.
• Share knowledge and provide guidance to engineering teams.
